Everything You Should Know Before Visiting Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach

In This Article:

A slice of paradise is waiting for you in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Everybody needs a relaxing weekend on the beach with a drink in hand, free from stress, work and deadlines. Why not make Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach your next destination?

If you’re scrolling flight prices and itching to pack your suitcase, then we’ve got the perfect first-timer’s guide to staying at Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach.

We’re covering everything you should know for staying there along with ways to save some money on your trip!

Where is Pueblo Bonito?

Pueblo Beach—the chain of all-inclusive resorts—has locations in both Cabo San Lucas and Mazatlán, Mexico. However, Pueblo Bonito also refers to an archaeological site in Chaco Culture National Historical Park in New Mexico.

We know you’re most likely not looking to visit any archaeological sites this year, as they are usually severely lacking in cabanas and fruity drinks.

Sunset Beach is one of the all-inclusive resorts in Mexico offered by Pueblo Bonito and is found in Cabo San Lucas within the Mexican state of Baja California.

You will most likely be flying into San Lucas Cabo Airport (SJD), as it is usually the cheapest for international flights.

Getting There

How was your flight? Now that you’ve grabbed your luggage and stretched your legs, let’s head to your premier destination in Cabo San Lucas!

Here are 4 options for transportation once you land at the airport and grab your luggage:

  • Shared Shuttle: Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach offers shuttle services from the airport, which is a free option for their guests! However, this option could take longer as there might be multiple stops along the way.
  • Driving: The resort is about 29 miles (30-40 minutes) from the airport, and if you’re renting a car, this is a very convenient option, but also the most expensive. However, a rental car allows you to venture out and explore beyond the resort.
  • Ride-Share & Taxis: One of the more expensive options, there are ride-share vehicles ready at the airport to take you to the resort. Companies like Uber, Lyft, and local taxis are usually $30-$60 per ride.
  • Public Transportation: While this is your cheapest option, the Ruta del Desierto bus will take the longest, and there is no guarantee the bus will be running when you land. However, if you are flexible, it will save you some money. You can expect to get to your resort via the Ruta del Desierto bus in about 45 minutes.

Insider’s Tip: If you’re looking for a more relaxed and less-crowded option, Pueblo Bonito Emerald Bay in Mazatlán, Mexico, might be the perfect choice, and we have incredible deals to experience this 5-star resort and save some money.

Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach is an exquisite destination for travelers seeking a luxurious and tranquil getaway in Cabo San Lucas. If you’re ready to start packing, let’s explore how you can save some money to give your wallet a much-needed break when booking your vacation.

How to Save Money on Traveling

Many people visit the resorts in Mexico because they can be cheaper than other tropical destinations, but rates can fluctuate during the year.

While booking through online travel agencies (OTAs) can be convenient, the rates are usually pricier than other options, and you’re treated like just a number. Options like Booking.com, Expedia, Airbnb, Kayak, or others usually include significant fees, steeper base prices, and only include basic amenities. Also, the customer service from OTAs can really be hit or miss and time-consuming.

Booking a resort at owner prices is a game-changer for savvy travelers and those looking for travel hacks to save money and receive a better booking experience.

By cutting out the middleman, you can experience a vacation that feels just as luxurious and rewarding, without the financial burden that often comes with booking through traditional channels.

We spend most of our time working within our town, operating Vacation Travel Exclusives and refurbishing old trucks, furniture and anything else that peaks our interest.
